Rose Garden

Oil on canvas, 80 x 100 cm

Step into my garden right after a thunderstorm and take a deep breath. That is the feeling of Rose Garden, another of my ‘hands-on’ series where I reconnected with my paintings by creating them entirely with my hands - no brushes, only fingers. The pinks and purples bloom and blur like peonies mid-sway, their petals caught in a quiet, graceful kind of motion. I love the way the background melts into the flowers — nothing is too defined, and yet it all feels exactly right. It’s loose, expressive, full of movement, and there’s a kind of quiet confidence in the messiness of it all. A reminder that beauty doesn’t need to be tidy to be powerful.
