Coral, Kelp & Creatures
Last Thursday night was extraordinary.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who joined me for the private view of Coral, Kelp & Creatures - Whispers from a Vanishing World. I have been working towards this moment for so long, but I could not have imagined how electric and brilliant the evening would be! The room was filled with warm, curious people who care about art and about the world. I felt beautifully connected with all of you, and I didn't want it to end.
For those who were there (and for those who couldn’t make it in person), here is a glimpse into the night…
A Team of Dreamers
Hosting this exhibition at The Acre, Covent Garden's new landmark of sustainable design, felt like the most meaningful home this collection could have had. The space itself is already so beautiful, and I was overwhelmed to realise that as you walk into the main foyer downstairs, you can immediately see the art through brightly lit windows ahead.
Partnering with The Royal African Society has been an honour I will carry with me far beyond this exhibition. Contributing a painting to support their work is something I feel deeply proud of.
And to Visio Vintners, whose beautiful wines kept conversations flowing long into the evening — thank you for shaping the warmth and spirit of the night.
At the end of the night, so many people came up to me to say how deeply the captions moved them. And I think it’s important to say that I didn’t do that alone. RED Marketing helped take my voice and shape it into language that could carry this message into the world - supporting the captions and the press release that helped frame the story behind this exhibition.
So much of this work happens quietly behind the scenes, and I am surrounded by people whose support, time, and talent lift this vision in ways many never see.
I am deeply grateful for each of my cheerleaders and guides.
Available Works
And for those who asked about particular pieces:
I’m thrilled to share that several works have already sold, and a number are now reserved by collectors planning their follow-up visits. If something spoke to you on opening night (or in these photos), I encourage you to explore the catalogue soon — I never want anyone to feel their favourite slipped away.
The silent auction piece, The Sea’s Last Voice, has now received its first bid. The response to this work has been overwhelming, and I’m excited to see where it finds its forever home.
If you’d like a closer look at anything, or if you’re considering a private viewing, simply reply to this email — I’d love to arrange it for you.
In the meantime, I’ll be spending as much time as I can in the exhibition space, so please do arrange to say hello if you’re nearby. Seeing the paintings finally hanging together in this incredible setting is something I’ll never forget. Hearing people say they felt moved, or connected, or changed — that’s the part that stays with me long after the doors close each night.
